He orchestrated the successful expansion of the fashion brand Esprit from a market newcomer into one of the leading brands in Finland, with operations also in the Baltic countries and Russia. Ari is the inventor of Ductor technology as well as its co-founder/early stage financier and is the company’s CEO.
Mr. Virkajärvi D. Sc. has over 25 years of experience in fermentation and downstream processing. He has worked with R&D organizations as well as industrials. Ethanol fermentation and biofuels in particular have occupied over ten years of his professional life, first with the Finnish State Research Centre, then Pöyry Ltd and Kemira Ltd. Ilkka is a patent holder, and has international publications and a book chapter to his name.

Mr. Kettunen is an international finance professional with vast experience of corporate M&A and business development from private European companies across a range of different industries. He worked at leading European private equity firm EQT Partners in Helsinki and Stockholm from 2002 to 2009, and since then he has supported the growth ambitions of Finnish SMEs as an advisor and board member.

Mr. Marko Kärkkäinen has more than a two decades of experience in the marketing, branding, sales, waste management and load handling industry in Europe, China and South East Asia. Marko has provided waste management solutions to the numbers of municipalities and other projects, example Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Baotou, Bangkok, Jakarta, Moscow, Omsk and London. His current work at Ductor is to lead the development and strategic growth of Ductor Corporation in Asia Pacific. Before joining Ductor Corp., he led sales and signed projects for MariMatic Pte. Ltd., in China and Asia Pacific, and Hyva Mechanics (Yangzhou) in China, South East Asia and Russia. Marko holds a Master’s Degree in Marketing from The University of South Wales, UK. He is a member of Business Advisory Board and visiting speaker in New York Institute of Technology, School of Management, Nanjing.

Minna’s work history includes both managerial and leadership positions.

President, Ductor Americas, Jennifer Barber
Ms. Barber has extensive experience in developing renewable energy projects internationally, mostly focused on agricultural biomass. She directed the global development efforts of a UK based poultry litter to energy firm, HRE Services Ltd., from 2008 to 2012, during which time she identified projects suitable to available technology, led and coordinated comprehensive feasibility analyses, and facilitated international design teams tasked with harmonizing their various areas of expertise. Prior to entering the renewable energy sector, she served in various other international development roles, including as Project Officer for the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission at UNESCO, where she worked largely on climate change issues. Jennifer holds a Master’s degree in international ocean policy and undergraduate degrees in anthropology and physics.
